Watering and feeding from day one~
Water needs to be cool, clean and always there!
for the brooders I start with small no drown water containers in the smallest brooder box and move up as the birds grow. In my outside brooder cages I have automatic watering systems. If your birds like to roost on the quart containers try a glass fruit jar for more weight and stability.
grow out cages/ breeding pens I use both metal and plastic water containers. I like the plastic and have 3 gal, 5 gal, and 7 gal. If you add medications to water you need to use plastic.
outside pen/coops I buy the red base and use my own 5 gallon buckets for this. You need to be where you can spill a bit of water since these have to be tipped over to set up.

Keep feed dry, clean, and fresh!
* these tough heavy black bowls are great in the winter to put water in and then if it freezes I can flip it over kick it out or break it free and add more.
